Best Iron Ever!!!, December 3, 2008 By This review is from: Panasonic NI-S650TR 1200-Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate (Kitchen) I have gone through numerous irons and purchased a model from this line several years ago. LOVED IT. Had to buy a new one and could not find exact same model but this one seems to be the same, just newer. We have been using it for about a month and it is even better. We iron daily and I sew. Was making drapes when old one quit working. It is the best.
Now, the flip side is that you almost cannot see the water filling and have to be careful. They could design that much better. And, for some reason, it took Amazon forever to ship this item. But I would not have any other iron and it is worth the wait.

I'm careful with the water door after reading some review and I haven't had an issue yet.
The wife likes it, I like it, it stays.

APOLOGIZING FOR MY FIRST REVIEW, March 5, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Panasonic NI-S650TR 1200-Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate (Kitchen) Yes, I want to apologize to those who might have read my earlier review and made a decision to purchase this product as a result. Turns out this iron has been the most frustrating iron I've EVER used. It is nothing like my first Panasonic which was a Model #NIA56NR. I received this iron on 2/03/10 and began using it immediately. Not long after making the positive remarks,seen below, I noticed it wasn't heating or steaming properly. So I checked the instruction book that came with it. Turns out the iron must first be unplugged from the outlet and the Temperature Selector Dial turned to "off" before pouring in water. THEN, after replugging, you can't just set the iron on steam and wait for the steam to come. In order to get "steam", you must first preheat the iron "until the indicator light goes out". THEN, when the light goes out, you have to "hold the iron horizontally and move the Steam/Dry Selector into the steam position". If, while adjusting the garment you're ironing, you... Read more
