I never thought I'd enjoy ironing., September 15, 2005 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sunbeam 4267 Professional Iron, White and Blue (Kitchen) Wow, this is a great little appliance! I've had mine now for a little over a month and love it. The first time I got it out, after finishing the recent laundry, I was pulling more clothes out of the closet just to continue using it. (I know, I couldn't believe it myself).
The Sunbeam Professional iron is a nice weight, making ironing a much smoother and less labor-intensive task than my old, lighter weight cheapo model. At risk of sounding like a commercial, the clothes almost iron themselves. My model has the Teflon soleplate and so far, I see no problems with it. Having had to deal with my previous iron melting (ACK!) fabrics and the residue sticking to the plate, this was one of my concerns when doing research prior to making a purchase. My Sunbeam glides effortlessly over anything I've ironed to date.
I was intrigued with the idea of digital controls, as well as unsure of quite what to expect. They are simple to use, with just a + or - light-touch... Read more

I really liked the size of this iron and the great non-stick plate. My shirts came out looking sharp. However, this iron drips all over the place. I tried the cotton setting with the steam setting on low, medium and high, waiting for the ready light between changes. None of the combinations worked, and water dripped all over my shirts. I'm not sure how the other reviewers had success; I read the manual and read the sunbeam.com website, tried the recommendations, only to have it drip, drip, drip.

I think it is a very good deal for the price. It steams very well and does a good job of ironing. Also, it has not, so far, got a "film" or residue on the soleplate of the iron, as my previous one did. It heats up very quickly and has a light to indicate when it is ready. The cord does not get in the way, as with other irons I have had.
